My wife has an affinity for radishes so growing them has been on my list for years. Some years have been better than others but I often seemed to get great leaves and a thin red root. I finally decided to look on-line for some help and think I’ve found the trouble. For radishes, don’t fertilize the soil!
So trying again and just reusing potting soil from last year (Pro Mix) without addition of fertilizer. Otherwise I’m really not changing much of anything. Planting half of a large container now and will plant the other half in a couple weeks. I do need to thin them better and will apply that to all my “from seed” crops.
