We’d gone to the St. Nicholas Greek Festival in the Central West End of St. Louis every year until we had the farm. Since then we’ve been rather hit and miss because we love being here for the Labor Day weekend. In order to get our fix, we do our OMF Greek Fest. Here’s our list of favorites.
- Sangria (yeah, it’s not Greek but it allows you to suspend disbelief that this isn’t the Central West End!)
- Greek Salad
- Gyros – I get meat from the Global Food Mart in Kirkwood along with Kontos Gyro Bread. Add tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce to complete this Greek favorite
- Dill-Cucumber Dip (Tzatziki sauce)
- Spanakopita
- Pastitsio
- Mixed Desserts – Holy Land Sweets makes a great Mixed Dessert or Baklava boxes that are way easier than trying to make any of these pastries.
